Telling the Country through images. The italian republic, facts and people of the XX century

The Institute, starting from the original films stored in the audiovisual archive, has organized two meetings dedicated to the history of the twentieth century.

Addressed to students, scholars and people interested in the history of our country as well as the use of film sources, the seminars dealt with key issues and moments in the history of democracy in Italy. Through the use of different methods of research and communication, the seminars have promoted not only the use of audiovisual sources, but a direct and active comparison with the main hubs of Italian cultural and political identity, with the methodology of the history laboratory .

The 40-minute lessons were accompanied by 30-minute film projections.

The meetings have been recorded  and will be published in the form of videolessons on the Italiarepubblicana portal where the seminars held in 2016 and 2017 are also available.
