Founding Mothers of the European Union

Together with the group of young scholars of the Institute called Young Leaders, the Institute has started a project that aims to retrace the history of the European Union, from its roots to current challenges, highlighting in particular the female figures, often left behind. in the shadows, which have strongly contributed to the intellectual change of course of Europe after the Second World War and the creation of the European Union.

With this in mind, in view of the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, the Institute has promoted, since 2015, seminars focused on various female figures, starting from Ursula Hirschmann and continuing with Ada Rossi, Simone Weil, Sofia Corradi and Sophie Scholl.
