CREA.M - Creative blended mentoring for cultural managers

In the framework of the LLP - Leonardo da Vinci - Development of Innovation the Institute is the coordinator of a consortium composed by 8 partners from 7 EU countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, UK, Spain, Turkey for the development of innovative training programs aimed to promote new professionals in the field of culture by updating and adapting their skills on the basis of professionals’ needs and the cultural labor market. CREA.M is centered on the development and testing of a kit of educational procedures based on the methodology of blended mentoring.
Enkdist - European Network for Knowledge diffusion of DIgital StoryTelling

Under the LLP's transversal programme Key Activitiy 3 - ICT, a multilateral network of 8 EU partners from Belgium, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, UK is composed and coordinated by the Institute to design and promote innovative models of exchange of good practices to encourage the development of digital skills and other soft skills. With the participation of the U.S. Center for Digital Storytelling based in Berkeley (California), the Network aims to investigate the Digital Storytelling procedures in different learning contexts.
Building European methods

This LLP Grundtvig Learning Partnerships is a European initiative promoted by the Spanish higher education centre IES ABDERA in collaboration with the Luigi Sturzo Institute and other organizations from Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Italy. The project aims at collecting, exchanging and disseminating best practices in the field of adult education through mobility actions based on European cooperation. The project results consist of a six meetings hosted by each organization, a website and a digital book.
DeTALES - Digital Education Through Adult Learners EU-Enlargement Stories

The LLP Grundtvig multilateral project DeTALES involves 7 European countries among old and new EU Member States: Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, England, Turkey, Hungary and Lithuania, with a partnership of 7 institutions coordinated by the Luigi Sturzo Institute. Its main objective is to increase awareness and knowledge on topics related to the European enlargement through the Digital Storytelling as a training methodology for adults to bridge the gap between personal stories and EU-enlargement topics. Giuli.A - Giulio Andreotti Archive

Within the Research, Development and Innovation projects funded by Filas Spa (LAZIO POR FESR 2007-2013), the Institute joined a technological consortium to develop an innovative computer system that will allow efficient access to multimedia archives holding documents with high semantic richness and including photographs and video footage. This software will be tested through the management, digitization and archiving of a part of the cultural heritage preserved by the Institute: the “Giulio Andreotti” private collection.

The project proposed an innovative course for managers of the Italian Digital Library and the Cultural Tourism Network, with an update and adaptation of their skills. Alternating moments of classroom training, e-learning and coaching, the course introduced a teaching approach centered on the constant feedback from the beneficiaries to develop their technical and operational skills.
The “Esaro valley culture system”
(Jul. 2004 – Jan. 2006)
The aim of this project was the creation of a territorial system based on culture and tourism (cultural district) set on the Esaro Valley between the cities of Malvito e Spezzano Albanese, able to attract a kind of tourism typically characterized by the possibility of the "Total Leisure experience" and transversal tourist targets interested in a variety of contexts and experiences. The action started from the cultural heritage of the Calabria region as an underestimated resource for the territory and realized an improvement in terms of qualitative growth, competitiveness, economic and social development of the territory through the cultural planning and promotion.
