The assets of the Historical Archive of Istituto Luigi Sturzo includes the following archives which, in line with current archive standards, are made available to the public once the suitable consultation instruments are in place.

Rocco Salomone archive

The archive documents the activity of Salomone, a politician from Calabria, with particular reference to his work as Minister for Agriculture and forestry during the De Gasperi and Pella VIII governments.

Giuseppe Sangiorgi archive (1980-2000)

The documentation regards some aspects of the journalistic work of Sangiorgi with the newspaper “Il Popolo”, as Chairman of Istituto Luce and Member of the Board of AGCOM (Italy’s Communication Authority). It contains Sangiorgi’s diaries from the 1980s, when Ciriaco De Mita was the secretary of Democrazia Cristiana, and then also Prime Minister.

Paolo Scandaletti archive

The documentation regards Scandaletti’s work as a journalist, teacher of journalism and communications, and author.

Mario Scelba archive (1925-1982)

The papers document the activity of Scelba, a politician from Sicily, in particular from the second half of the 1940s, during which time he held numerous, important institutional positions. The press releases and collection of speeches are of particular note.

Dino Secco Suardo archive (1915-1925)

The archive preserves papers of Dino Suardo, a politician from Bergamo, documenting the birth and activity of the Italian People’s Party, with particular reference to his work with the provincial committee of Bergamo. (1916-1926).
