The first six months of activities for the European Project KVALUES – Key competences: Validating Adult Learners’ eDucational ExperienceS are ending with the presentation of the research results made by each partner and coordinated by Luigi Sturzo Institute. The first draft of the Report will be discussed during the meeting already planned from the 8th till the 10th of July in Tallinn (Estonia), where all the partners will share  opinions and experiences regarding the validation of competences acquired through informal and non-formal learning and if and how the digital storytelling methodology could be used for the self evaluation.

In particular, above all for better guiding the next phases of the Project (Train the trainers and Piloting), the researchers have analyzed not only the official procedures for the validation finalized to improve the employment, but also have collected the opinions of a specific target group (adults and young adults in disadvantaged conditions who would like to work in Cultural and Third sectors) to understand if the digital storytelling could be useful for:

  • Achieving the awareness of their competences;
  • Passing over disadvantaged and marginal conditions;
  • Getting closer people and job opportunities (for every career levels: from the first experiences till the possibility to improve job conditions in the same company/sector).
