The Institute’s first sociology bulletin was published in 1956, when Luigi Sturzo was still active as a journalist. In 1957 it became Sociologia, the four-monthly journal of historical and social sciences.
The board of the journal is assisted by a scientific committee including academics from historical and sociological disciplines and experts in related fields. The multidisciplinary nature of the publication is reflected in the numerous topics it covers in essays, articles and other contributions on the issues most affected by contemporary research. The journal publishes contributions by professors of sociology and historical sciences, working in universities and research centres, and by young scholars and researchers for whom Sociologia is a platform for the dissemination of their ideas.
The bibliographic references and reviews highlight important authors and works for the formation of new theories and interpretative proposals to be verified in the daily routine. Sociologia can be purchased at bookshops and newsagents.
